AL GRAN BALLO RISORGIMENTALE

£85.00 / unit(s)
Price incl. VAT, plus delivery

Beautiful concatenation of quadrille, mazurka, waltz, polka and gallop march. This original piece will make you relive the atmosphere and charme of the galas of another time, when the ladies of the nineteenth century, wrapped in sumptuous clothes, embellished with glittering necklaces, hinted complacent smiles to their knights, with elegance, held out their hands to start the dancing.

IN GUERRA PER LA PACE

£68.60 / unit(s)
Price incl. VAT, plus delivery

"In the war for peace": this was the sad task of the fighters in the First World War. It 'good to keep in mind the lessons of history in order to give precedence to the "dialogue", that "the demands of peace." Even Pope Francis recalled the "tragic event" of the First World War with these words: "I hope that not repeated the mistakes of the past."
In this band composition these songs are used to build a musical thought, to revive their feelings, passions, enthusiasms, the suffering, the tragic events.

The text of the song "It Cadorna, sends word ..." suggests the superficiality and stupidity with which they were taken decisions that inevitably did not spare the lives of many young people who were sent to the assault, from the trenches against enemy fire , to their deaths.

All this suggested to me the use of a thematic material intended to connect various reasons sung by our soldiers.

The original reason describes the initial entry into the war and to cease all military action is taken festively to celebrate the victory.

A victory that leads to the longed-for peace that unfortunately has cost thousands of lives.

Our fighters and fallen for their country are remembered in various musical passages that describe the unfolding of military action and that are outlined by the motifs from "Legend of the Piave" and "Song of the Grappa".

Our brave soldiers is dedicated to the central part, which process the following songs in the trenches:

Where have you gone, my bell'alpino?

Open the doors ...

The translated

Monte Canino

The hat that we wear

Silence Ortigara

Ta-pum

The captain of the company

Thematic passages are instrumented in particular, who want to express the mood of those who fought for an ideal of peace and freedom, of those who lived this tragedy, with passions, memories, sadness, nostalgia, courage and fear of those who have been "in the war for peace".

A musical proposal to cherish the memory of combatants and victims of the First World War, not to forget the errors and   hor rors.

Deliberately I accompanied the performance of music with meaningful images to be synchronized during the band execution, which will be distributed by the publisher with the score and instrumental parts.
One hundred years ago the Great War with pictures and music, to remember the fundamental themes of human existence: Love and Death.

TAYSHA

£84.05 / unit(s)
Price incl. VAT, plus delivery

The Rapallo's city band  was born in 1845, with the name of
"Compagnia Filarmonica Città di Rapallo " and is one of the oldest musical
associations of Liguria. The author wanted to grasp the connection between
the same year of birth of the band with the annexation of Texas to the United
States of America, thus become the 28th. Given the significance
of the ancient name of Texas "Tàysha" which in the language of the natives
Hasinai meaning "friends" or "allies", wanted to do a musical tribute to
the band composing an original song dedicated to the 170th anniversary of
the foundation of the group. Inspired by the strength that a "new" state
like Texas has been able to give with his contribution to all States and the
intrinsic meaning of its name, features both well adapted to the Italian band
world where art, culture, friendship and commitment are the prerogatives needed
to continue to make music together. The song has a first introductory part of
the happy and upbeat, where all the staff is committed to fresh and insistent
rhythms. Followed by a romantic second central part, in which a sensitive
issue takes place starting from a solo until you get to all sections. Finally,
the third and last part part return to rhythms and brilliants themes to end
cheerfully.

MONVISO VERS. SYMPHONIC BAND

£53.41 / unit(s)
Price incl. VAT, plus delivery

Famous march by Massimo Boario Symphonic Band Ediction by
review of Lorenzo Della Fonte.
Mandatory piece at the "BACCHETTA D'ORO 2015" for the
"Massimo Boario" award on the 100th anniversary of the composition.
Born in Murisengo in 1880, with a repertoire of over 200 compositions
for whole band ensemble on a total of 580 works, Massimo Boario is
considered among the greatest Italian band music composers of the
twentieth century.
Massimo Boario dies in Turin August 2, 1956.
Among his compositions for band deserves to remember the famous march
Monviso, made around 1915 is still between marches more popular and
played from all over Italy, thanks to the recent re-release in 1996
by Edizioni M. Boario.
A march that has thus not only a great artistic value, but it is also
testimony to the musical history of our country.
To confirm this, we need only mention that in 1987 by Resolution No. 39,
the city council of Murisengo establishing the musical composition
"Monviso" official hymn of the town of Murisengo.
Led abroad by Italian bands, "Monviso" is now played with success
both in France and in Switzerland.
The lyrical-popular features that distinguishes the aesthetic
feature of Massimo Boario find on Monviso its most famous expression.
Listening Monviso departs immediately from the other marches, claiming
a strong and unique identity; There conquest finally with the chorus
that reaches its climax in the Trio.
A very nice story  was told by a player of the band of Crescentino:
his grandfather, who as he was playing in the band, had gone to America
looking for a job in 1930 taking with him his instrument, the trumpet.
Just got off the ship that had docked in the United States, heard
echoing in the harbor a song to him well known: Monviso by Massimo Boario.
A group of people, band musicians, probably Piedmont and just as he landed,
gathered together to form an impromptu band and they played that song that
everyone knew by heart, Monviso indeed! Unlined trumpet from custody,
his grandfather joined the others by sharing with them a kind of musical
baptism, good wish for a new life in the New World.
