Suor Angelica is a one-act opera by Giacomo Puccini, with a libretto by Giovacchino Forzano.
It is part of Puccini's Triptych which includes three one-act operas: Il tabarro with a libretto by Giuseppe Adami, Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi with a libretto by Giovacchino Forzano.
In the work we find only female characters. The male voices appear only at theend, in the choir of angels who take Sister Angelica to heaven.
